Somerset Orthodontic Specialists wanted Abuv to create an introductory video to be used in the marketing campaign we were creating for Facebook Ads and their company website.
With a new website coming out and Abuv creating a Facebook Ad campaign for Somerset Orthodontic Specialists, they tasked us with creating an introductory video to expand on their updated marketing. They wanted to be sure that the video would be able to be edited in multiple ways and be used for both projects.
I started out by getting a tour of the office and learning step-by-step how a normal first visit goes. Afterwards, I created a script that also outlined which rooms we would be using, the order in which we’d have to shoot them, etc. For this project, we needed a lot more extras since we wanted to make the office look as busy as it is on a normal day. This meant I had to schedule which of our volunteer actors/patients would be in each shot, as everyone had different schedules on how long they could be there.
On the day of filming, we shot out of order, based on my premade shot list to consolidate time. I continued to direct each shot, while also making sure each patient and extra was in the right place.
After filming and the first cut was created, I made animated graphics to be placed throughout the video to support all of the content.The videos were then used as the background for the call to action on the new company website, as well as a separate, shorter cut, for the Facebook Ad campaign.
